Ahhh….sookie, now!

I already know you were right there working it out. You decided to start your business and the first thing you were eager to do was get some business cards.

So you did what most people do.  

  • You chose one of the templates that fit your profession.
  • You selected that nice glossy paper for the front.
  • You put the following info on the front–
    • Your company name
    • Your full name
    • Your email address
    • Your phone number
    • Your fax
    • Your tagline….maybe.

And, you were ready to take on the world.

Promotion Time!!!

You then took your business cards to your insurance agent in an acrylic card holder and asked if you might leave it there on the counter with the other ten business owners who had cards there.

You may even have gone to the local dry cleaner, gas station, or hair salon and left cards there, too.

Finally, you attended some networking events and in exchange for the ten cards you passed out, you retrieved ten to add to your business card collection.

You waited for the phone to ring.

You waited and waited and waited. It was like watching paint dry.

Days went by. Soon, it turned into weeks.

But, each day closed with no new clients…..zero, zilch, cero, love, duck, nil.

Frustrated, you put that box of 250 minus about 100 (that you’d left at the businesses and with the networkers) back in your drawer, wondering why you’d ever wasted your $10 in shipping on them in the first place. :-)

Does that sound familiar? :-(

Don’t even sweat it.

I did the EXACT same thing….except I used the template given to me by my network marketing companies AND when I did create my own cards, for my solo-preneur business,  let’s just say, I had the same experience. :-)
