Kellie Gardner

“ Art is standing with one hand extended into the universe and one hand extended into the world, and letting ourselves be a conduit for passing energy.”

— Albert Einstein

Welcome to the gallery.

  • Explore, dream, contemplate, and discover the possibilities of fine art. Take your time, be open minded and relax. There are no wrong answers. You control anything you wish to see within these paintings and whatever your interpretation is, you are correct...

  • Look

Look for contemporary themes throughout Kellie's current paintings such as health, economic inequality, education, race, gender, spiritualism, feminism, government, parenting and violence.

  • The circle shape is another detail to explore in Kellie's work. Look for it in its complete form or in movement around subjects or in some kind of arrangement within the picture plane.

  • Find numbers and symbols from throughout history and across cultures. Maybe a touch of gold here and there. Symmetry is important too.

  • Finally, take your time. Imagine Kellie using paint and brushes to render the objects you see. Come back to them again and again to interpret elements you may not have noticed before. Too often, it is easy as the viewer to just glance at the work of art itself without spending time with it. It takes time to understand and comprehend what you see.

(A Note on Nudity)

Kellie is a figurative painter. Sometimes figures are portrayed as nude. These portrayals of nudity are exclusively intended as design elements in her paintings and in no way reflect sensual connotations or sexually explicit material.

Collection 2021

The paintings created this year will be presented at a later date. Twenty Twenty One marks Kellie’s third consecutive year of painting the figure steadily. During this past year, her work has transformed into a new style. As you view the paintings below, you can see in 2020 Kellie’s work is a mix of styles. Two paintings she created at this time “Peace” and “Covid” were the only paintings resembling the work she completed in the year prior, 2019. The rest of her work from Twenty Twenty is an experimentation of different styles in which Kellie begins to incorporate elements such as geometric symbols and line, all of which become a signature hallmark of this new body of work she created Twenty Twenty One.

Inspired sketch for painting “Love without Sexuality” which was completed 2021. It will be released in the future.

Before you begin to examine Kellie’s figurative work. Please look at the early paintings Kellie created over thirty years ago.
